Embedded Systems are omnipresent in all facets of our lives from household gadgets, mobile phones, and network routers to telecommunication networks, factory automation
systems, automotive, avionics, space mission control, and energy generation and distribution systems Embedded systems are customized computing systems hidden inside everyday electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital cameras, automobiles, etc. Designing embedded systems is unique in the sense that the traditional borderline between hardware and software vanishes here. Moreover, tight constraints on size, cost, power, timing, and time-to-market pose significant challenges to embedded system development. Embedded systems has become an active research area over the last decade focusing on increasing the automation in the design process.
